THIMA Local Associations Call for Board Nominations

ALL NOMINEES MUST BE ACTIVE THIMA/AHIMA MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING.

Duties of the President-elect

  • Serve as President-Elect for a one-year term.
  • Work with the President to learn the role, transitioning to President the following year.
  • Act as President during their absence and fulfill duties assigned by the Board of Directors.
  • Serve as an ex-officio member of all project groups and committees.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop educational sessions. Assist with securing speakers and planning meetings.
  • Assists with member questions regarding LHIMA matters, such as continuing education and projects of interest to the LHIMA.
  • Attend all LHIMA Association Board Meetings or notify the board if unable to do so.
  • Attend four (4) member meetings annually or notify the board if unable to do so.

Duties of the Secretary

  • Serve as Secretary for a one-year term.
  • Maintains the LHIMA’s records, including bylaws and meeting minutes, using Basecamp.
  • Records and disseminates meeting minutes promptly.
  • Utilizes THIMA-provided tools via Knowledge Connex to inform members of meetings and other pertinent information.
  • Assists with member questions regarding LHIMA matters, such as continuing education and projects of interest to the LHIMA.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop educational sessions. Assist with securing speakers and planning meetings.
  • Attend all LHIMA Association Board Meetings or notify the board if unable to do so.
  • Attend four (4) member meetings annually or notify the board if unable to do so.

Duties of the Treasurer

  • Serve as Treasurer for a two-year term.
  • Manage and oversee the financial affairs of the LHIMA, including budgets, accounts, and audits.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records stored in Basecamp.
  • Present financial reports at LHIMA Board and member meetings.
  • Collect dues, fees, and other revenues, ensuring timely deposits.
  • Disburse funds as authorized by the Board and ensure all expenditures are properly documented.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop educational sessions. Assist with securing speakers and planning meetings.
  • Attend all LHIMA Association Board Meetings or notify the board if unable to do so.
  • Attend four (4) member meetings annually or notify the board if unable to do so.
