Lee has over 25+ years of healthcare experience working with physician, ambulatory care, and payer organizations. As the Regulatory Services Manager of Physicians East, P.A., located in Greenville, NC, Lee’s expertise encompasses a wide range of healthcare management in areas of practice administration, revenue cycle, documentation improvement, as well as compliance and risk management.
Lee remains a frequent presenter of educational seminars on coding, reimbursement, and documentation fundamentals as well as operational efficiencies. Furthermore, Lee is an extremely active local, state, and national industry expert addressing numerous healthcare reimbursement topics to various associations. In addition to his technical expertise, Lee is forward thinking and provides leadership in areas of pending federal health care initiatives affecting the healthcare community and, as a result, is on the leading edge of services and solutions planning.
In Salt Lake City, Utah on October 3, 2011, The AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association) awarded Lee the 2011 AHIMA Triumph Pioneer award. This prestigious national award honors professionals responsible for advancing the field of health information management (HIM).
