The Middle Tennessee Health Information Management Association election for the 2023-2024 MTHIMA Board of Directors, is scheduled to open April 4, 2023, and close at midnight, April 22, 2023.
The following positions for the MTHIMA Board of Directors will be elected:
- President-Elect (2-yr. term)
- Secretary (1-yr. term)
- Treasurer (2-yr. term)
President-Elect (2-yr. term)
Qualifications:
- An active member of AHIMA/THIMA and MTHIMA; ability to attend the majority of meetings (in person, virtually, and conference calls)
Responsibilities:
- Serve as or appoint Chair of Education Committee
- Plan 4-5 educational meetings/year: speakers, meeting dates and location
- Prepare registration information for each meeting and distribute
- Appoint Chair/MTHIMA Nominating Committee
- Act in place of President
- Preside at all meetings: schedule Board of Directors meetings
- Member of THIMA Board of Directors representing MTHIMA; attend THIMA Board of Director meetings
- Appoint two members / MTHIMA Committee
Secretary (1-yr. term)
Qualifications:
- Active member of AHIMA/THIMA and MTHIMA; ability to attend majority of meetings (in person and conference calls)
Responsibilities:
- Official Custodian of MTHIMA records: maintain accurate member roster
- Maintain MTHIMA Bylaws
- Manage meeting on-site registration
- Validate member registration for continuing education credits
Treasurer (2-yr. term)
Qualifications:
- Active member of AHIMA/THIMA and MTHIMA; ability to attend the majority of meetings (in person and conference calls)
Responsibilities:
- The Treasure shall keep, adequate correct accounts of all the properties and financial transactions of MTHIMA
- Deposit all monies and other valuables in the name of and credit to MTHIMA as designated by the Board of Directors
- Treasurer shall render to the Board of Directors, upon request, an accounting of all financial transactions and a statement of the financial condition of MTHIMA
- Provides the Annual Financial Report to THIMA and follow all financial policies as set forth in the THIMA Guidelines for Component Local HIMAs
