The Middle TN Health Information Association election for the Board of Directors is scheduled to open March 9th and close midnight March 23rd.
The following positions for the MTHIMA Board of Directors will be elected:
- President-Elect (2 yr. term)
- Treasurer (2 yr. term
- Secretary (1 yr. term)
If you are interested in running for one of these positions, please respond by February 19, 2021 by completing the online call for nomination form.
President-Elect (2 yr. term)
Qualifications:
Active member of AHIMA/THIMA and MTHIMA; ability to attend majority of meetings (in-person and conference calls)
President-Elect Responsibilities:
- Serve as or appoint Chair of Education Committee
- Plan 4-5 educational meetings/year: speakers, meeting dates and location
- Prepare registration information for each meeting and distribute
- Appoint Chair/MTHIMA Nominating Committee
- Act in place of President
President/Responsibilities:
- Preside at all meetings; schedule Board of Directors meetings
- Member of THIMA Board of Directors representing MTHIMA; attend THIMA Board of Directors meetings
- Appoint two members/MTHIMA Nominating Committee
Treasurer (2 yr. term)
Qualifications:
Active member of AHIMA/THIMA and MTHIMA: ability to attend majority of meetings (in-person and conference calls)
Treasurer Responsibilities:
- Serves as Custodian of funds for MTHIMA
- Maintains account of dues received
- Makes monthly treasurer reports as requested by the President and shall render an annual report
Secretary (1 yr. term)
Qualifications:
Active member of AHIMA/THIMA and MTHIMA; ability to attend majority of meetings (in-person and conference calls)
Secretary Responsibilities:
- Official Custodian of MTHIMA records; maintain accurate member roster
- Maintain MTHIMA Bylaws
- Manage meeting on-site registration
- Validate member registration for continuing education credits
