Dear THIMA Member,
Earlier this year, the THIMA board had a 2 ½ day Strategic Planning Retreat. The board took on a hefty challenge in evaluating our association’s current stance in the market and alignment with our national association, AHIMA.
During this time, the board compared and revised the THIMA Mission, Vision and Values Statements as well as Strategic Objectives set forth in continuing the survival of the Health Information Management profession in an ever changing healthcare industry. Below you will find our revised Mission, Vision and Values Statement with a defined Focus Statement.
The board was also challenged to evaluate the THIMA structure including our workgroups with the “fit” of each into our newly revised strategic objective framework. In order to be lean and as efficient as possible, the THIMA board has created a revised workgroup structure consolidating our workgroups under the strategic objective pillars allowing each workgroup the autonomy to create task forces underneath to accomplish their set forth goals.
