Membership
There are approximately 1,800 members of THIMA,
a Component State Association (CSA) of AHIMA. These HIM
professionals work in all levels of health care settings, health maintenance
organizations, insurance companies, law firms, and information systems
companies.

To become a member of THIMA, you must join AHIMA and select Tennessee HIMA
as your Component State Association (CSA). There are no
dues for THIMA – just pay your AHIMA dues.

Benefits of membership in THIMA include member rates at all educational
programs, an electronic newsletter, and the member rate for a comprehensive
legal handbook which is published annually. THIMA holds two membership
meetings each year, the Annual Meeting and the Fall Meeting held in conjunction
with the Tennessee Hospital Association. Several educational workshops are held
each year.
Regardless of member status, feel free to
join our email distribution list. We communicate with our members and other
interested individuals via this distribution list. You
will also want to join the
local HIMA in your geographic area.
